Alan, Lesley & the team at the Norway Inn would like to welcome you to our friendly establishment, where we give good quality fayre at reasonable prices with friendly and efficient service
Alan Poole 61,Joint Manager passionate about food, has been in the catering industry for some 45 years in the Lake District & Cornwall, taught to cook by his mother, he has worked in many first class hotels, he came to Cornwall in 1977 to run his own restaurant in Falmouth and joined our team 6 years ago. He is also passionate about training and has produced a great team. Together with his suppliers, they have sourced many fine Cornish and West Country products for our menu.
Lesley Brown 54, Joint Manager, born in Beverly, joined Alan some 8 years ago after managing the Ferry Boat Inn, Helford Passage for 6 years
To run a successful pub like The Norway you have to have a good team - and we have a great team!
Patrick Cruise 27, Head Chef - Educated at Taunton School and moved to Flushing seven years ago. Trained here at the Norway by Alan Poole, he has become a natural successor to Alan, as he moves up to Manager.
His team includes Nathan Senior 22, 2nd Chef and two trainee Chefs all who are either doing or have passed their NVQ level 2 in Catering & have started their NVQ level 3. He also has two dedicated part time Patissieres - Lesley Brown & Loren Rogers

Our Assistant Managers, Emma Poole & Bobby Platt, all trained here at the Norway in every department including bar, kitchen & restaurant, all are a great asset and take charge in our absence.
Our Head Waiter, Rodney Gill - ageless!, has been here 28 years he will always welcome you to our restaurant with a cheery smile and stories of old.
The rest of our staff are mainly part time and have become an excellent benefit to us in their pleasant & helpful manner in the way they treat our customers and their needs.
As you can see from, Industry Awards & Accolades, “Your Only As Good As Your Staff” and Lesley and I are so proud of ours.
If for any reason we have not provided you with the great time we would have expected you to have, please let us know because mistakes are something we should learn from - and do something about!
